‘With a good captain, a rough ocean turns into a calm lake; with a bad captain, a calm lake turns into a rough ocean!’ One of the great benefits of fiction (or fantasy in some cases) is that it can deliver messages to an audience when their analytical minds have turned off.   Turn off your analytical mind in FPL and reality can become fiction. On the flip side factuality and real life also inspires fiction, so which fictional Captain would you choose to define your FPL Season to-date? Is it Captain Jack Sparrow , Captain Nemo or Captain James T. Kirk ? For FPL Rogue the “2+1” Strategy outlined in Áróra which resulted in a WC play for #GW8 appeared to have backfired with a lowly 33 pts, probably my lowest GW return in 12 years of playing #FPL . ‘Northern lights filled our skies Empy nights synchronized’ The screech of the tyres as our plane touches down on the runway in Reykjavik opens the floodgates of memories of the Thunderclap in Euro 2016. On my way to Húsafell for a welcome 4-day break from the rigors of a hectic workload in September after the habitual Summer lull I look up the origins of the Thunderclap in Wikipedia. Did you know? Some believed the chant was first used by fans of Scottish club  Motherwell F.C. , while others suggest it had been performed by fans of the French club  Lens  more than two decades prior. Fans of the Greek side  PAOK  have also chanted "PAOK" on the clap of hands since the mid 90's.
